RE:Treat

You are a soma. [Ancient Greek: meaning body, or the body living in its wholeness]

Your soma is self-regulating, self-monitoring, self-assessing, self-correcting, self-renewing and ultimately self-healing.

Imagine feeling open, relaxed and free in your body. What would it be like to be able to release tension and ease pain yourself wherever and whenever you want?

Allow the powers of Reiki and Somatics to unblock any patterns or issues that stop you from living the life you most desire. Cat will lead you through a series of Somatic movement to settle you into comfort in your body before Simone balances your energetic system through the power of Reiki.

This blend of both physical and energetic shifting of your nervous system gives you the tools to free yourselves, moving us clearly in the direction of balanced strength and away from injury and imbalance.

This emphasis on agency (the ability to affect and change your life) is empowering, liberating and practical. After all, you’re the one that lives in your body. Who else knows you better that yourself?

Our next RE:Treat: Sunday 28th April 7-9pm @ CloudZen Margate - £50

Simone is a certified Reiki master, crystal healer and meditation teacher. She has a powerful energy and natural talent for working with a client's individual needs and focus towards their goals.

Simone left her full time busy city life for a life by the sea in Margate in 2018, where Cat and her both met and their partnership has blossomed from there.

Reiki is an ancient system of healing, it will balance the energy centres in your body. If you are ready to step back into your power and take ownership over your life and mindset then Reiki can become an integral tool in your wellbeing practice.

Cat has practiced Pilates since the age of 17, and taught since 2015. The practice of Hanna Somatics has enhanced her understanding of the the body and nervous system combined. Using the mind-body connection to help you survey your internal self and listen to signals your body is sending about areas of pain, discomfort, or imbalance. These practices allow you to access more information about the ways you hold on to your experiences and emotions in your body.

Somatic movement includes any movement practice through which you get to know yourself from the inside out. At its most basic it’s a way of teaching our muscles to relax and stay that way. In this way it offers an embodied antidote to pain and tension.
