“I only found out I had scoliosis about 9 years ago but the doctors said I’d had it all my life.
They didn’t offer pain relief, just a Pilates course. About a year ago I starting getting really bad pain so I was sent for physio and prescribed pain killers. I started classes with Cat back at the Union Church nearly 5 years ago, getting back to classes helped me realise how much Pilates manages the pain, and I have a better understanding of my body and how to stretch and release it, as well as stabilising!
It’s something I’ll always have but with Pilates I can manage it.
